Madison Gibbs

Madison Gibbs, a North Carolina Native, is a proud alumna of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and Howard University School of Law.

While in law school, the former Miss Black USA 2015 and Miss Black North Carolina 2014, placed first at the 2017 William E. McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition. Madison spent her 3L year as a Criminal Justice Clinic student attorney where she represented clients in the District of Columbia and wrote impactful criminal appellate briefs.

Upon graduating from law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Tara J. Fentress, the Honorable Lloyd U. Nolan, Jr., and the Honorable Adrienne J. Noti at the District of Columbia Superior Court. At the age of 27, she founded The Law Office of Madison N. Gibbs, PLLC, and joined Bynum & Jenkins Law as an associate.

 

Madison handles a variety of civil litigation to include property, business, commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation, civil rights violations, personal injury, estate planning & probate. She also handle criminal defense matters on a state and federal level.

 

By first being a client, Madison understands the unique care and concern related to each case. With Attorney Gibbs’ diverse litigation practice and experience, coupled with her tenacious work ethic, she strives to champion the rights of each of her clients.

In the community, Attorney Gibbs is a member of the Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a mentor with S.A.G.E. (Saving Adolescent Girls Everywhere), and a member of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church.

Madison has been recognized as a 2015 NAACP Young, Black and Gifted Awardee, a 2016 National Council of Negro Women Legendary Woman Honoree, and recently named to The Top 40 Under 40, National Black Lawyers, Class of 2022.

Madison Gibbs is proof that girls can have it all.

 

The former Miss Black USA 2015, and North Carolina native, graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University & earned her law degree from Howard University School of Law (where she was able to use the $5,000 scholarship she won as Miss Black USA)

 

Upon graduating from law school, Madison completed a Judicial Clerkship at the District of Columbia Superior Court. She then went on to open her own law practice, “The Law Office of Madison N. Gibbs, PLLC” and joined Bynum & Jenkins Law of Alexandria, VA, as an associate. Madison handles a variety of civil and criminal litigation matters and services Virginia, D.C., and New York.

 

Most recently, Madison was named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in Virginia.

 

The goodwill ambassador to Sierra Leone and nationwide speaker and advocate has been featured on Good Morning America; Essence, Allure, Rolling Out and Elle Magazines. Madison is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Kingdom Fellowship AME Church in Calverton, MD.

Madison Gibbs, a North Carolina Native, is the daughter of Wilmote Gibbs and Gina Staples, the older sister to Morgan Gibbs, a dog mom to Dice, the first of five maternal grandchildren, the third of four paternal grandchildren, a cousin, and a friend to many. She is a Believer of Christ and a recipient of his grace, mercy & favor.
